What are Chassis?

Chassis is a wheeled structure designed to carry containers or other heavy equipment for the purpose of truck movement between terminals and shipping facilities.

 

Chassis are usually made of carbon steel. More recently, as a way to create more inexpensive vehicles, some chassis have been made with aluminum.
