COLD CALLING
Cold calling is not required, but if you like to cold call this page is for you! This training will take some research, but the payout could be well worth it. In your area of the country there are going to be quite a few places looking for containers and you just want to call them and drop your contact information in their lap. Places to call Universities, local schools, landscaping companies, plant nurseries, storage facilities (those with RV storage are a bonus), other container sales companies in the area, construction companies, locally owned hardware companies and any other business that might use a container in your area.
Each of these places listed will need a different approach when you call them. Always pull the quote before calling have the business zip code pulled before the call so you can answer any questions quickly. Schools in general – You will call and ask for the maintenance person or the "groundskeepers". Simply tell them you are a sales agent with Amazon Containers ,you wanted to call and see if they have a need for containers. If they say no... Ask them if they have an email address so that you can email them some info in case they ever did have a need. If they say yes! Assume the sale, start to get the information to generate an invoice on the price tool. These are generally tax exempt sales so be ready to ask for that information as well.
Landscaping companies and nurseries- When you call you will ask to speak with purchasing. Explain to the person on the phone you work for a container sales company and you are looking for someone you could talk to about sales. When you get the buying party on the phone explain to them who you are and where you work. Let them know that we have had several companies like theirs purchase from us and you were calling around to your local companies to see if they were in need of containers for added storage. If they say no... Ask them if they have an email address so that you can email them some info in case they ever did have a need. If they say yes! Assume the sale, start to get the information to generate an invoice on the price tool. These are generally tax exempt sales so be ready to ask for that information as well.

Other Container companies- For this first call we would suggest giving a heads up to someone in sales at the office. Signing a large sales company could become a wholesale deal. If you call Karla or a member of the sales team in the office they can give you some great tips and pricing for large orders!
When you call explain who you are and where you work. Explain that you wanted to get a quote together for them to see if we could beat their current purchasing price. Get their information for a quote and total containers needed over the course of a year. Take this information back to the price tool and start an invoice call the office again and let them know what the total needed was and the customers current rate is! If we can match or beat it they will let you know. Email the final quote out to the customer!
